The outpatient program at Gosnold is a structured outpatient program that meets 3 – 5 days a week for several hours at a time. This program lasts 4 – 8 weeks and is dependent on the individual needs and goals of each person. Recovery management services, 12 Step orientation, and medication assisted treatment are offered. Classes that help participants understand the neurobiology of addiction are also provided. Additional services include psychiatric support, anger management classes, individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy. They also provide specialty programming for individuals who drive under the influence and are seeking support.

Medication Assisted Treatment provides medications along with comprehensive medical, psychiatric, and behavioral counseling. FDA approved medications are used to support withdrawal from opioid drugs and to help maintain long-term abstinence. By combining medication with mental health treatment, a greater chance of success is achieved for long-term abstinence.
