About Greater Lakes Mental Health Spanaway Clinic – Spanaway
Greater Lakes Mental Health Spanaway Clinic offers mental health services and help with chemical dependency for adults as well as mental health care for children and teens. Located in scenic Spanaway, Washington, they’re easily accessible by public transportation, including less than one quarter of a mile from the nearest bus stop. They accept Medicaid.
They have outreach and support programs for people who are homeless and integrated medical services with a full service pharmacy. They’re part of the MultiCare Behavioral Health Network, which is the largest provider of mental health services in the State of Washington. This integrated network of care enables them to offer prompt and comprehensive support to historically underserved patient populations throughout the region and the state.
At Greater Lakes Mental Health, they believe everybody can recover from mental health problems and they use evidence based methods and trauma informed care throughout their treatment. Their services are available to all Pierce County residents who have Medicaid. If you don’t currently have it they’ll help you get enrolled or re-establish your Medicaid coverage.
If you’re battling mental illness they’ll do an evaluation with a therapist and they’ll assign you a counselor for regular therapy sessions and together you’ll develop a plan of treatment depending on your goals. They also have Spanaway Commons which is a residential mental health treatment program where patients live in an apartment and receive care.
Their mental health program for children, adolescents and families focuses on issues with anxiety, depression, ADD, trauma, grief and or behavioral problems at school or in your home. Their method is to work with the person and their family with advocacy and case management designed to help kids learn, thrive, and become healthy, successful adults.
What I really like about this treatment center is how they focus on young ones and the importance of helping them live healthy, productive lives as they get older without the burden of mental health issues.
