About Green Lake County Health & Human Services – Green Lake
Located in the south-central part of Wisconsin, the Green Lake County Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) provides comprehensive addiction treatment for adults and children through their Behavioral Health department. They’re right next to Green Lake and the surrounding natural attractions.
The Comprehensive Community Services Program (CCS) is a recovery focused program. Instead of just focusing on what’s wrong, CCS builds on your strengths. They help identify your skills and your support systems. Their mission is to empower you to take charge of your recovery, whether that’s through therapy, community support, or other resources that fit your life.
You’re probably wondering how you can take control when it feels like everything is out of control. First, you’ll meet with someone who will help figure out what services are right for you. Then, they’ll help you put together a team of people who’ll support you. Together, you’ll create a recovery plan that’s about what you want to achieve.
The outpatient clinic offers services that meet you and your family’s unique needs. They see adults and kids, so no one gets left out.
Getting started is simple. You’ll set up an appointment, fill out a few forms, and have your first chat with a therapist who’ll listen and help you figure out your options.
Therapists are trained in evidence based treatment methods. EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) is one they use to help clients process and heal from traumatic memories. Traditional cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps change negative thought patterns, while trauma-focused CBT deals with the effects of trauma. There are several other types of therapies available as well.
Everyone has access to treatment regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. They accept Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance. They’ve a sliding fee scale based on income and family size for clients who are uninsured or underinsured.
While most services are offered on an outpatient basis, they provide referrals to residential treatment if needed.
