Hale Foundation, which is located in Augusta, Georgia, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping men over the age of 18 overcome substance misuse challenges. They started back in 1990, and since then, they’ve built a very structured and supportive environment that has helped many people in the area.
Essentially, their program approaches recovery using a 12 Step program that has been made popular by Alcoholics Anonymous. Their residents receive help by attending both local and in-house 12 Step meetings, which give them a sense of accountability with their peers.

The way they break down their levels of care is by phases. In Phase One, you’ll focus on intensive recovery efforts and address any immediate challenges that arise from your addiction. In Phase Two you’ll build upon the progress you made in the first phase but emphasize developing life skills and learning how to reintegrate into society gradually. The final phase, Phase Three, helps support residents as they transition back into independent living, but they still offer guidance even after the program is over. Each phase is meant to build upon the last until you feel whole again.
