Helio Health, formerly Syracuse Behavioral Healthcare, provides a residential program for men in Syracuse, New York. The James Street Residence for Men is certified by the Office of Addiction Services and Supports. It houses up to 16 individuals for anywhere between six to nine months.

Addiction can typically cause clients to feel isolated. The residential treatment facility promotes community by having residents stay in shared sleeping quarters and have shared recreation and dining space. This can offer you a chance to practice your communication skills and build relationships that can help you feel less alone in your journey and decrease your need to use substances.

Life skills groups address a wide range of topics that relate to your addiction and your overall health. Your counselor will help you understand your triggers and come up with coping strategies you can use when you encounter them. They may also discuss other topics such as exercise, nutrition, and self-care to support your continued recovery.
