About Herrick Medical Center – Behavioral Health – Tecumseh
ProMedica Herrick Hospital was located in Tecumseh, Michigan. Though it’s now closed, this was a full service hospital that offers an array of healthcare services to children, adults, seniors and families. They had a behavioral health department here that provided specialized care for struggles with mental health or co occurring substance use challenges. They were part of the ProMedica network which still has a variety of facilities throughout the area.
They offered treatment in both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. They accepted policies from most major insurance providers.
Because this was a behavioral health department operating in a hospital facility, you could expect to have integrated care as you worked through treatment. There were dedicated psychiatrists, social workers and therapists who worked within the department. They had experience working with individuals in recovery including those who had a substance struggle. But they could connect you to other services you might have needed throughout the hospital system too.
The treatment here was rooted in evidence based practices, and there was trauma informed care and person focused care through the individual counseling sessions.
Along with treatment for drug and alcohol addiction there was a smoking cessation program here. This program would help you with your tobacco addiction, allowing you to build the skills to lead a tobacco free life. They had a Staying Free Tobacco Support Group that met regularly.
