During inpatient medical detox, patients are monitored 24/7 and professionals are available to provide treatment and medications to manage withdrawal symptoms. Hoag Addiction Treatment Centers also works with patients to create a treatment plan so they are ready to transition into the next phase of care. The clinic also offers outpatient detox for those who are more stable and don’t need 24-hour care.

Residential services at Hoag Addiction Treatment Centers include individual and group therapy, 12 Step meetings, addiction education, life-skills training, and relapse prevention. Approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and a variety of holistic treatment options, such as yoga, mindfulness, equine therapy, and art therapy.

Intensive outpatient programs such as PHPs and IOPs are often the next step after residential treatment. Services are similar to residential care, but the programs meet during the day and participants live at home outside of treatment. At Hoag Addiction Treatment Centers, the PHP is a full-time program that meets five days per week. The IOP meets three days per week for several hours per session.

To help clients maintain long-term sobriety, Hoag Addiction Treatment Centers may offer aftercare such as ongoing support groups, connections to 12 Step and other community recovery programs, and referrals to sober living, social services, and other community resources.
