About Inspirations for Youth and Families – Fort Lauderdale
Inspirations for Youth and Families was a drug and alcohol rehab facility located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They treated teenagers for substance use disorders and alcohol addiction. They provided a short term residential program.
They offered detox services to their clients. They were able to provide medically assisted treatment to kids who were unable to tolerate the pain of withdrawal. The staff was trained to administer methadone and other opioid addiction treatment drugs to those who needed it.
Once kids had detoxified and stabilized they would begin therapy. The treatment they received was based on questions asked in an intake meeting as well as medical history. All the teens in the program participated in both group and individual therapy. They were strictly an inpatient facility.
They used traditional therapeutic methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy both of which aim to change negative thinking in order to change destructive behaviors. They also offered trauma therapy in cases where the teen’s substance use was caused by a traumatic event. They offered family therapy so that teens were able to discuss their addiction with their parents and siblings.
