Jewish Family Services – Morris Black Counseling

Jewish Family Services – Morris Black Counseling is a mental health facility that provides drug and alcohol rehab. It is located in Staten Island, New York. They have outpatient services for adults who suffer from alcohol use disorder or substance use disorder. They operate out of a JCC office. They treat people diagnosed with both mental health conditions and addiction problems.

When you come in for substance abuse treatment, they’ll give you a full evaluation to determine what type of substances you have problems with and what treatment would be best for you. If you need medically assisted treatment to aid in your detox, they’ll be able to provide it for you.

You’ll be provided with both individual therapy and group counseling. I really loved the skills training that they offer here. They can teach you everything from how to balance your budget to how to get and hold a job.

You will have regular nurse exams and drug tests here. They can provide you with references to sober living and other recovery housing. You will receive assistance with food stamps as well. You may qualify for a free bus pass if you have a need for it.
