La Vida Nueva started in 1984 as the Kern County Chicano Commission on Alcoholism and focused on helping Spanish-speaking women. By 2016, they were open to everyone. In 2024, they rebranded as La Vida Nueva, which means New Life.

When you sign up, you’ll work with proven treatment methods in groups and individual counseling to understand your addiction. You’ll also learn to recognize triggers and develop coping skills. They’ll teach you to build a sober lifestyle and strengthening your relationships.
