A nonprofit addiction treatment agency in Mentor, Ohio, Lake Geauga Recovery Centers serves adults in residential and outpatient settings. They’re a CARF accredited organization and they use practices that have been scientifically demonstrated to be effective and have accepted protocols to guide practitioners in delivering treatments. Their residential facilities include two 16 bed homes for men and two 16 bed homes for women. Their MAT programs are available for individuals in the residential program or via outpatient treatment. MAT treatment lasts for a minimum of 12 to 18 months and involves the use of FDA approved medications to ease cravings and reduce your relapse risk. Their outpatient services include individual, group, and family counseling, dual diagnosis treatment, drug testing, and a video therapy option.
Their jail treatment program which operates in partnership with the Geauga County Sheriff’s Department often involves a diversion component and means that treatment is ordered in lieu of jail time. For some individuals, treatment is ordered following release from incarceration. Group sessions take place for three hours a day, three days a week, and additional treatment may be recommended. Programs that use evidence based treatment and provide longer term care with greater client accountability requirements generally obtain better results including less relapse and reduced criminality in general. For these reasons, the Federal Bureau of Prisons endorses jail and prison drug programs.
