Liberation Programs in Stamford, Connecticut, is a drug and alcohol recovery and treatment facility that serves adults, pregnant women and families. They provide compassionate care in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. The outpatient program is flexible and includes general outpatient treatment and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). You’ll have access to other supports including mobile outreach and access to supportive housing. They accept policies from most major insurance providers. They also accept Medicaid.

Their Main Street location will provide you with inpatient services if you’re experiencing struggles with substance use and need immediate care. Their Liberation House is designed for men. Meanwhile, they have a Families in Recovery Program that’s designed for pregnant women and parenting mothers and their children.

There are various supports you’ll find here, many of which are rooted in evidence based practices. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals and will be supported through individual and group counseling sessions. Through this, you’ll learn essential recovery skills like how to identify triggers and how to manage negative thoughts that may lead to substance relapse. There are also peer to peer support groups here and trauma informed care.

Depending on your circumstances, medication assisted treatment (MAT) may be appropriate. This is a type of treatment that uses FDA approved medications to help you manage ongoing cravings. When used alongside counseling, you’ll begin building critical skills for success that will help guide your recovery. You’ll also have access to addiction education resources and employment support services. You’ll work with your care team to determine if other services like supportive housing may be required once you complete the inpatient program.
