Life Stone Counseling

Life Stone Counseling Centers is an outpatient addiction treatment center that helps children, youth and adults who are struggling with addiction and mental health issues in the American Fork, Utah, area. They don’t just treat drug and alcohol addictions here. You can also find the help you need for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia and any other co-occurring conditions that may be present in your experience.

This is an outpatient clinic so you will be able to get the help you need and still return home after therapy is over for the day. This is a big help if you are in school or work and have outside obligations to meet in between attending therapy.

In addition to this, they offer eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), neurofeedback, care for members of the LGBTQ+ community, psychiatric medication management, ADHD assessments, testing and treatment, ketamine infusion therapy, faith transitions, programming to help with parenting, childrens services, court classes and counseling.

Their counseling options include individual therapy, couples therapy and family therapy. All of these can be considered pillars in the recovery community, as they are known to make drastic changes in a patient’s life when done correctly.

The key is to be open and honest when speaking to your therapist so that they can accurately help you. Individual therapy lets you speak one-on-one with a professional therapist who can help you identify triggers that may be causing you to slip up, deal with past traumas, and learn coping skills for the outside world. Each counseling type has its benefits, though.
