About LifeBridge Health-Grace Medical Center – Baltimore
Bon Secours – Behavioral Health is a nonprofit organization that helps families and individuals who are experiencing a range of challenges with their mental and behavioral health. Their Baltimore, Maryland branch is now LifeBridge Health-Grace Medical Center.
This is a full service medical facility with a dedicated behavioral health department. Their behavioral health services are robust, helping you get the care you need for a substance use or co-occurring mental health challenge that’s impacting you or a loved one.
This medical facility takes a comprehensive approach to recovery. For many people the Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referrals program (SBIR) is the first step in the recovery journey.
If you don’t already have a substance use diagnosis, you’ll get evaluated to determine what unique struggles you’re facing. Following this, an individualized treatment plan will be created for you.
One of the supports that many clients find to be effective and relevant is their peer recovery coaching. This program allows you to work alongside individuals who have been where you are in your addiction recovery journey. While working with a peer specialist, you’ll find guidance, emotional support and relevant feedback on how to overcome daily triggers and challenges that might lead to relapse. Peer treatment is offered in the nearby New Hope Treatment Center, but this is a program that you’ll get connected to while you’re at LifeBridge Health-Grace Medical Center.
Other addiction specific services offered at the New Hope Treatment Center include medication assisted treatment (MAT). If your circumstances call for it, you can get MAT using buprenorphine, an effective FDA approved medication that can help you manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
