Florence Manor is an all female residence located in Poughkeepsie, New York. It is actually part of Mental Health America of Dutchess County. They are a non-profit organization that greatly benefits from donations.
The residence is able to house 24 women at a time. The average length of stay for most women is about nine months. What I think is great is that the women are provided with resources while living on site. They have access to an outpatient style substance abuse treatment program which includes individual and group therapy.
The women have access to parenting groups and self help groups. They are also able to receive vocation training and coping skills training.
