Known as “Christmas City USA”, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania is the home of MARS ATP – Mid Atlantic Rehabilitation Services. They welcome adults and adolescents battling addiction and mental health conditions. You can attend intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) and traditional outpatient care while living at home.

I like that they have multiple payment options. They accept most insurance providers, including Humana, Aetna, Compsych, Beacon Health Options, and Magellan. If you don’t have insurance you may be eligible for a private pay option on a discounted sliding scale.

Their programs offer proven therapeutic interventions to meet your unique needs. After an assessment, you can access individual and group therapy, case management, codependency groups, family programs, and more in either an intensive outpatient program or in standard outpatient treatment. You can also choose between mid morning or midday or evening groups. You’ll benefit from personalized care that works for your needs and schedule.

What stands out to me is their multiple IOP options. They provide specialized programs for women, adolescents, and people in the Latino community. The women’s track uses a trauma informed approach in small groups. You’ll learn how to recognize trauma triggers and how they influence addiction. You’ll benefit from the tools to overcome these challenges while connecting with women on similar paths.

Their IOP for people in the Hispanic and Latino community provides a culturally competent approach. They understand that while people in these communities come from many different backgrounds, the Spanish language is a shared element. You’ll benefit from comprehensive services in Spanish from experts in addiction and mental health as well as social work and criminal justice and more. They strive to create a welcoming space where you feel heard and understood.
