About McIntosh Trail Community Services – Outpatient – Griffin

In 1993, the Georgia legislature created McIntosh Trail Community Services organization. They have an outpatient clinic in Griffin, Georgia. This behavioral healthcare facility provides mental health and addiction treatment as well as disability services. It is a CARF accredited institution that will help you diagnose your substance abuse or dual diagnosis issues and address them.

Whether you are an adolescent or an adult the clinic aims to deliver high quality care. This center’s outpatient program will start your care with an assessment based on ASAM criteria. This assessment will help the center determine the care you need, and if outpatient care is recommended they will connect you with an appropriate program.

This may include speciality programs like the New Choices treatment facility for women, especially mothers. You may also get residential services and support. Depending on your needs you may receive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic tests, nursing services, counseling, and group and family involvement.

However, this isn’t all the outpatient program has to offer. You can also gain assistance with court ordered evaluations and multiple offender evaluations. In addition the center helps those who need assistance with the Department of Family and Children Services. If you are encountering issues with family services because of your addiction the center may be able to assist you.

To learn more about the outpatient program, it’s best to speak with the center. If you end up needing more intensive care they can provide referrals to other locations that can meet your needs.

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

LGBTQ Program

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
