About Mental Health Resources, Inc. Main Office – Clovis
Mental Health Resources, Inc. Main Office is a nonprofit organization in Clovis, New Mexico, that provides mental health and substance use services. The organization started in response to the lack of mental health and addiction treatment available in eastern New Mexico. They offer outpatient clinic services, group therapy services and medication assisted treatment (MAT). Clients are able to access these services in person or through teletherapy. The organization also offers community support services, psychosocial rehabilitation services and crisis services. They provide assistance to individuals regardless of their ability to pay. The facility is staffed with therapists that have master’s degrees and have licenses from the New Mexico Board of Social Work examiners or the New Mexico Counseling and Therapy Practice Board.
Clients will receive an assessment from a therapist and then be recommended to the appropriate level of care. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) will involve group sessions that meet three times a week and individual substance use counseling. The program will address both substance use and any underlying mental health issues that are contributing to a client’s addiction. Some individuals may have chronic medical issues that may be a cause of their substance use.
The CareLink program at Mental Health Resources helps to coordinate care for individuals who have both chronic medical issues and mental health disorders. Clients will have appointments coordinated for them, treatment with multiple providers and increased access to health education.
An additional service this organization provides that stands out is its housing services. They connect individuals who have severe mental health issues to reduced rate housing. The organization also teaches clients how to maintain stable housing.
