About MercyOne House of Mercy Indianola – Indianola
MercyOne House of Mercy provides comprehensive behavioral health services, including substance use and co-occurring disorder treatment and a parenting program for women with children. They have several locations, including the one on North Buxton Street in Indianola, Iowa. The substance use disorder treatment programs are CARF-accredited and state licensed.
The facility accepts Medicare and Medicaid. They also accept most major insurance. They’ll file your claims with the insurance as long as you sign an Assignment of Insurance Benefits form. Be sure and check with your insurance for precertification before you receive services.
The Indianola location has outpatient services only. The residential treatment program is in Des Moines. The outpatient program includes substance use education prevention, an extended outpatient, and an intensive outpatient program. You can walk in for a substance abuse assessment on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Many people with substance use disorder also have co-occurring mental health disorders. The outpatient clinic also has mental health services. These include psychiatric services for medication management, therapy services, and behavioral health intervention services.
They specialize in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Circle of Dads Parenting Program (COSP), 24/7 Dads, and child parent psychotherapy (CPP), and intuitive eating. DBT is especially helpful in treating substance use disorder. DBT often helps substance users who don’t respond to other evidence based therapies. During DBT, you’ll spend time envisioning, articulating, and pursuing goals that contribute to a successful, fulfilling, and happier life.
The programs prioritize pregnant women who inject drugs, pregnant women with other substance use issues, other individuals who inject drugs, and then all other substance users.
