About Mountain Peak Recovery – Spanish Fork
Mountain Peak Recovery was a recovery center located in Spanish Fork, Utah. The area is known for a strong sense of community with Scenic views of the Wasatch Range, which made it a peaceful area to recover from drug and alcohol addiction. This location is permanently closed.
They provided mental health treatment for various conditions including bipolar disorder and depression, their treatment program also included a dual diagnosis program for people who had a substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions. A dual diagnosis requires specialized care and makes treatment more complex.
The mental health and substance use conditions often exacerbate each other so they must be treated simultaneously. The program provided education to family and friends about dual diagnosis and information about their treatment program. Several of the mental health conditions they experienced within their dual diagnosis program included schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and eating disorders.
They found that individuals may have begun using drugs to manage the symptoms of the mental health condition. These substances often worsen mental health symptoms and create a vicious cycle.
They treated dual diagnosis using residential inpatient care in a safe and supportive environment. Your program included working with providers and other residents who could support your recovery journey. They believed other residents could help hold you accountable for staying sober, even after discharge.
Group therapy sessions allowed you to support other residents and be supported by them using positive self-talk and getting advice from a different perspective. They also had an Intensive Outpatient Program that allowed you to receive therapy while still maintaining some of your responsibilities at work or school.
The Intensive Outpatient Program took nine hours of therapy per week while you could live at home. They worked with most major insurance providers in the state and would verify your insurance benefits before beginning treatment. If you were uninsured or underinsured, they offered a discounted cash rate.
