Myrtue Medical Center – Behavioral Health

Myrtue Medical Center–Behavioral Health is an outpatient addiction recovery and mental health care facility for youth and adults in Harlan, Iowa. They offer general outpatient programs (OP) and aftercare planning and support.

Specialized services at Myrtue Medical Center–Behavioral Health include dedicated programming for children, adolescents, young adults, seniors, LGBTQ+ persons, military personnel and Veterans, pregnant and postpartum women, and persons with HIV/AIDS. Targeted treatment is also available for persons with co-occurring addiction and mental illness.

The program promotes clients’ sustained sobriety through robust, age-specific, recovery-focused life-skills training that addresses topics such as coping, self-care, disease and medication management, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention.

Aftercare Services
Their aftercare services ensure a complete continuum of care aligned with clients’ evolving needs. These services may include step-down support, 12-Step program facilitation, and referrals for additional medical, mental health, and social service programs.
