New City VA Clinic is a satellite VA facility located in the upstate town of New City, New York. It is part of the Greater Hudson Valley VA network designed to treat active and retired military personnel. The outpatient clinic offers substance abuse treatment but they can also connect you to residential rehabilitation treatment programs.

The VA offers a formal substance use disorder (SUD) program to active military, veterans, and their relatives struggling with addiction. While the New City location provides support, since it is part of the Hudson Valley VA network, there are also more resources available in the region to people who need them.

The VA network accepts VA benefits but they may also accept private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
