About New Day Recovery – Shreveport

New Day Recovery is a drug and alcohol rehab facility located in Shreveport, Louisiana. They treat individuals who are dealing with substance use disorder (SUD) and alcohol use disorder (AUD). They have both inpatient and outpatient treatment for men and women. Treatment will last anywhere between 28 and 60 days.

Here, they provide medically assisted treatment to those people who need it for mental health conditions and withdrawal symptoms. In addition to providing medications such as Subutex and Naltrexone, they are one of the few places in Louisiana in which you can obtain Brixadi.

Brixadi is offered on either a weekly or monthly basis. The medication is injected into your arm in liquid form and turns into a gel. It then slowly releases the medication in the appropriate doses over time. Other buprenorphine-based medications come in the form of a pill that you take daily or an injection monthly.

Both of the company’s treatment centers offer gender-specific dorms. The Shreveport office offers gender-specific treatment for people with SUD. They have a treatment program that is specifically designed for women.

Not only will you have all of your group sessions with other women, but the treatment methods used are specifically geared to the problems that women with SUD experience. You will have private therapy sessions throughout your stay.

You will be assigned a case manager who will monitor your progress throughout the program. They can assist you with obtaining social services and other community resources.

They have an intensive outpatient program in which you will come in several times a week for several hours a day. It is good for people who do not have time to attend residential therapy or for those who are transitioning out of therapy.

They offer standard outpatient treatment that includes weekly group and individual sessions. They participate in the Enjoy Life Again program, which focuses on the positive elements of living a drug-free life and restoring joy and fulfillment.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Military Program

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
