While in inpatient care, you’ll attend multiple counseling sessions daily, including a combination of individual, group, and family therapy. Their counseling programs draw on a range of proven psychotherapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, rational behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma resolution. They also prioritize recovery related life skills, including stress and anger management, conflict resolution, coping, nutrition and wellness, self care, parenting, and relapse prevention.
The NMCD sober living program is designed to support justice involved men in recovery as they step down from immersive inpatient addiction treatment. Their sober living houses enable residents to continue receiving extensive addiction counseling while continuing to develop the skills needed to successfully reintegrate into their families and communities. Sober living residents also develop strong interpersonal and household management skills, from sharing household chores to maintaining a productive daily schedule to attending to household finances.
The NMCD offers a full complement of aftercare services designed to promote clients’ sustained recovery and facilitate their reintegration into the community. Depending on the client’s individual needs, these services may include career counseling, food and housing assistance, vocational and employment support, legal aid, peer coaching, medical and mental health care referrals, and 12 Step program induction.
