North Central Behavioral Health Systems

North Central Behavioral Health System (NCBHS) provides comprehensive mental health care and addiction recovery services for adolescents and adults in Macomb, Illinois. Levels of care include intensive outpatient programs (IOP), general outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare programming.

Services available at North Central Behavioral Health Systems include crisis intervention, telehealth care, DUI education and risk evaluation, and inpatient and residential treatment referrals. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers high-level supervision and support for clients in early recovery, those stepping down from inpatient care, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Clients receive medical and mental health assessments, drug and alcohol screenings, personalized care planning, and comprehensive case management. They also engage in intensive individual, group, and family counseling that draws on proven modalities, including CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing. The program promotes clients’ sustained sobriety through robust, recovery-focused life-skills training that addresses topics such as coping, self-care, wellness, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention.

Outpatient and Aftercare Services
Their outpatient and aftercare services ensure a complete continuum of care aligned with clients’ evolving needs. These services may include transitional support, housing and employment assistance, vocational training, and referrals for medical, mental health, and social service programs.
