About North Charles – Cambridge
North Charles in Cambridge, Massachusetts provides outpatient addiction treatment and mental health care, along with other programs. They have an opioid treatment program as well as treatment for teens and adults ages 16 and older.
They see addiction as only one of many issues that get in the way of someone living a safe and productive life. As a result they address your biological, socio cultural, psychodynamic and behavioral concerns and work to find long term solutions.
They have a wide range of staff available during clinic hours including nurses, counselors, medical directors and other clinicians. This clinic is a teaching facility for Harvard Medical School and the Cambridge Hospital Department of Psychiatry so they often have interns available to help you as well.
The outpatient program is flexible, designed to make it easy to attend around your other obligations. They have both day and evening hours to accommodate your schedule.
North Charles operates a Bridge Program that provides support to prevent relapse and help clients avoid homelessness. This program is for adult men and provides transitional housing, help with employment, and financial literacy classes.
The goal is that North Charles clients will be able to stay sober and find support in working and saving up money so they can live independently.
Another fun program at North Charles is the Tunefoolery Concert Ensemble, which was part of a local social club at one time. It’s now a community run group that plays concerns throughout the state. Not only can you enjoy a concert as enjoyable substance free entertainment, you can even play if you have expertise with an instrument!
