North East Bexar VA Clinic offers outpatient treatment for substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders for veterans and their families. This outpatient facility is located in San Antonio, Texas.

Treatment is provided for substance abuse as well as mental health conditions such as anxiety, trauma, depression, PTSD, OCD, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. This facility offers medical care as well, if needed. They may have same day appointments available. If you require detox services or a more intensive recovery service, you may be referred to another location or facility.

They use evidence-based treatments and provide health maintenance and community support. They set up a program with you to help you reach your goals.

They offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) as needed for opioid use, alcohol use and tobacco use. These medications are designed to help with your withdrawal symptoms and cravings.

They also offer counseling services. They want to help your recovery along by addressing the root problem that led you to turn to substances to begin with. If you’re unable to attend therapy in person, they offer telehealth services and appointments.

This facility also has social workers who can help you through different circumstances that you may find yourself in or have questions about. They can assist you with homelessness and unemployment, if needed. They can answer questions about treatment and anything that may be overwhelming you on your recovery journey.
