Northwest Counseling and Wellness Center provides mental health and substance use treatment for adults in Austin, Texas. They specialize in intensive outpatient programs that heal your mind, body, and spirit. They integrate holistic healing techniques with evidence based practices to create a whole person approach to recovery. They’re in network with many private insurance plans and also accept self pay.
Something I like about this facility is that they focus on the importance of community. They know that self help techniques might not be enough to help you fully overcome your addiction, so they show you how to build relationships, develop new skills, and involve your family as you recover. Their program meets three days a week for three hours each time. For 20 days, you’ll attend group based counseling sessions to connect with others, share your struggles, and learn helpful advice.
Once you’ve finished this part of your treatment, you can transition into some of their other services which include individual counseling, psychoeducational lectures, and family programming. I also like that they offer a range of nontalk therapies, including yoga, acupuncture, and mindful meditation.
