Nystrom & Associates’s Coon Rapids site is a drug and alcohol rehab facility located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They provide outpatient (OP) services to people of all ages who suffer from substance use disorder and alcohol use disorder. They treat people who have concurrent mental health issues and substance issues.

They offer drug screening and group and individual therapy. They’ve family therapy, which is especially helpful If you have teenagers with addiction issues.

They offer an intensive outpatient program (IOP) in which you will come in several times a week for treatment. They also have a more standard outpatient program (OP) in which you’ll come in once or twice a week. They provide care coordination and can refer you to an inpatient facility if you need detox or residential care.

They will give you an evaluation when you first come in to determine what stage of substance use you are in. They use a variety of approaches, including medication management and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). The basic goal is to create a realistic therapy plan that will guide you toward a healthier lifestyle.

The therapist will teach you to identify the things that trigger your substance use. They will work with you to increase self-awareness about the way your behavior affects those around you.

Group therapy will give you the opportunity to develop a support system. You will also learn about nutrition and exercise. They have many sober outings and activities to participate in. Learning how to have fun without substances is a major part of recovery.
