The North Florida VA Health System – Ocala Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Ocala, Florida, provides mental health and addiction treatment. They’re a satellite facility that offered psychotherapy and medication management to veterans and their dependents.

Individual and group therapy are a first line treatment for their clients experiencing addiction as any co co-occurring disorders.

A licensed medical doctor can offer primary care in addition to providing medications to people experiencing depression, post traumatic stress disorder, or mood disorders. They prescribe FDA approved drugs to eligible clients experiencing significant withdrawal symptoms, cravings, or relapse risk.

You can get same day appointments for severe issues and emergencies as well. They also have options for indigent and homeless veterans, including placement in a shelter or the administration of housing vouchers.

Vocational assistance and training opportunities are available, along with case management and counseling. They also offer transportation assistance.

Former clients have complimented the nurses and staff, but others recommended upgrading the phone system to better handle appointment coordination. Some people liked their convenient location. One client has described the facility as fantastic.
