P.A.T.S. stands for Prevention and Treatment Services. This rehab facility is located on South Broadway in Urbana, Illinois. They offer treatment for adults and adolescents with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. They specialize in therapy-based treatment for substance use and mental health. They don’t offer medication management or medication-assisted treatment (MAT). They accept most major insurance for therapy appointments including Medicaid and Medicare.
They offer many types of assessments including substance use assessments, DUI evaluations, investigative reports, mental health evaluations, anger management assessments and risk assessments. They can also do partner abuse assessments and interventions as well as parenting classes.
In therapy and educational classes, you’ll learn how addiction and substance use affect you and your body. You’ll learn about triggers and how to combat cravings. If you have a co-occurring disorder such as bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or another mental health challenge then they’ll teach you techniques to manage your issues.
Depending on the outcome of your assessment, you may have individual counseling, group therapy, or both. They offer Level I and Level II outpatient counseling. You can participate in anger management groups as well. The main types of therapy used include cognitive self-change therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and moral recognition training.
They offer a P.A.T.S. aftercare program as well. This combines free alumni support groups with continuing care therapy appointments. They aim to give you easy access to resources that help prevent relapse and keep you living a sober lifestyle.
