Addiction-related services offered at Pembroke 6 include mental health assessments and counseling, outpatient detox, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), peer support meetings, and aftercare.

These assessments evaluate a client’s mental health to determine the severity of substance use disorder, presence of any co-occurring mental health disorders, and appropriate level of treatment intervention. Clients may attend recovery meetings several days a week. These peer-based groups provide support to one another through sharing their experiences and talking through challenges and coping strategies.

Most addiction treatment programs have a comprehensive aftercare plan which includes relapse prevention strategies, recovery activities, and membership to an alumni program for on-going support.
