Positive Steps is a residential addiction treatment center for men. The program was established in 1994 and has since become a member of the Los Angeles County Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System. Adult men seeking treatment are first assessed using the full American Society of Addiction Medicine assessment. The information informs their comprehensive and customized treatment program to support long-term sobriety.

They can accommodate 47 clients at a time. Within their residential treatment program, you may receive individual and group counseling with a substance abuse specialist or therapist. Your program also typically includes psychoeducation to understand addiction and develop healthy coping strategies.

Group counseling gives you the opportunity to practice life skills in a group setting and engage with others who are on the same recovery path. Case management addresses the logistics of transitioning back into the community and ensuring that you have adequate community resources to support your long-term sobriety.

While a resident, your accountability to your treatment program is tested using random drug screening. The program is licensed and certified by the State Department of Healthcare Services. During your initial conversations, their financial specialists can help you enroll in California Medicaid, also called Medi-Cal, or My Health LA programs when you qualify. These programs can help cover the cost of addiction treatment.
