About Princeton HealthCare System – Hamilton Township
Operating under Princeton HealthCare System, Princeton House Behavioral Health is committed to providing high-quality accredited care to clients of all ages. This particular location is based in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, and specializes in state-licensed outpatient services. Behavioral health here is in-network with most commercial insurance providers, including Medicaid and Medicare.
Care here is provided by a multidisciplinary team of board-certified social workers, psychiatrists, addiction counselors and therapists. Clients benefit from personalized treatment plans and programs featuring performance improvement.
On admission, clients can expect to undergo a thorough assessment before working with staff to develop their customized treatment plan. From here, they may engage in a variety of treatment services like psychoeducation groups as well as individual, group and family therapy. The majority of addiction treatment takes place within group therapy, with group sizes capped at around 10 participants.
Alongside their intensive outpatient program (IOP) which takes place three days per week for three hours per day, the facility also provides a PHP for individuals in need of even more intensive care. PHP sessions occur five days a week for six hours each day. The daily program structure includes five group sessions, each with different objectives and covering different topics. In some, participants engage in psychotherapy or learn more about addiction and other aspects of wellness through psychoeducation. These groups are ideal for learning coping skills and other practical recovery techniques. In others, clients are encouraged to share any personal struggles they’re dealing with as well as any feelings coming up for them throughout the recovery process.
