Recovery Centers of America at Westminster is an addiction treatment facility in Westminster, Massachusetts. The programs they offer are residential inpatient, outpatient addiction treatment, and medication for addiction treatment. When clients are first admitted to the inpatient program, they’ll undergo an assessment. Clinicians will perform a medical and biopsychosocial evaluation to develop an appropriate treatment plan. The treatments offered to patients include medically monitored detox, self help, 12-step involvement and individual and group therapy sessions.

The medications that may be used for medically monitored detox are methadone, Vivitrol, Sublocade and buprenorphine. The two levels of outpatient therapy that are available for clients are the intensive outpatient program (IOP) and the partial hospitalization program (PHP).

These programs feature the same treatments as the inpatient program while allowing clients to continue going to school or work and continue taking care of their responsibilities at home. Patients will meet at the facility multiple times a week, either in the daytime or the evening.

Family support services are available to improve the relationship between clients and families. I like that RCA at Westminster also offers telehealth therapy as an option. Patients can meet with their counselor through a HIPAA-secure telehealth platform.
