About Recovery Centers of Arkansas – Little Rock
Recover Centers of Arkansas is a nonprofit with several locations for its substance use and mental health treatment centers. One of the centers is located on Father Tribou Street in Little Rock. The Little Rock location has a state funded, 30-day residential treatment program. They also offer men’s sober living, Veterans’ Administration Housing, residential, as well as a variety of outpatient services. The programs are CARF accredited and licensed by the Arkansas Department of Human Services.
The residential program follows a four week cycle. The curriculum includes traditional 12 Step work, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and family systems theory. While in the program, you’ll participate in a minimum of 33 hours of group therapy and an hour of individual therapy per week. The program is seven days a week and most people stay in the facility from 30 to 45 days.
To be admitted, you must be medically stable, 18 or over, and not dangerous to yourself or others. They don’t take clients who are level 3 or 4 sex offenders and you must be drug or alcohol free or at least not in need of detox. At the time of writing, an episode of residential treatment usually runs about $5,670. The estimate is based on a daily rate of $175 and an initial assessment fee of $420. It’s possible you can get a donation or subsidy to offset your treatment costs.
Outpatient treatment includes an intensive outpatient program (IOP), outpatient treatment, and relapse prevention. Clients often go to the IOP after completing a stay at the residential treatment center. In the IOP, you’ll have one individual therapy session per week. You’ll have three group sessions each week.
The outpatient program meets for two group sessions and one individual session per week. Outpatient is good for clients who have strong support systems or are actively supporting themselves through 12 Step programs like Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous. Outpatient services are $40 per hour for group therapy and $84 per hour for individual therapy. As with the inpatient program, you may be able to get some of the service costs reduced through donations or subsidies.
