Outpatient care is designed for clients with mild symptoms. It’s a form of day treatment where clients visit the facility for appointments while continuing to live at home. Since clients aren’t under constant supervision like they would be in an inpatient program, clients with severe symptoms may be referred to a different program that better accommodates them.

Treatment in the outpatient program is individualized to ensure each client’s needs are met. Treatment plans may include assessments, individual counseling, group counseling, and vocational support. Clients can also receive services for HIV/AIDS as well as general health education and referrals to social services.

Saint Joseph’s Medical Center works with many private insurance plans, including Aetna, Magellan, Multiplan, United Healthcare, and Empire. Clients are advised to confirm coverage, as out-of-network benefits may vary.
