About Salt River Valley Al-Anon Information Service – Phoenix
Al-Anon, located in Phoenix, Arizona, provides counseling and education for teenagers and adults who are affected by substance use disorders (SUD), including friends and relatives of persons experiencing chemical dependency. They offer no-cost, community-based services.
Al-Anon consists of group meetings and education for family members, friends, coworkers, and associates of persons experiencing substance use disorder (SUD). Group meetings are free, anonymous, open to the public, and are available 365 days per year throughout the community, including holiday, night, evening, and weekend sessions. Sessions may be attended via telephone or digital means via the Al-Anon mobile app. Al-Anon enables friends and relatives to receive support and addiction education whether or not their loved one chooses to enter an alcohol or drug rehab.
Alateen is an age-specific subgroup for adolescents who live with or are affected by family members who abuse drugs or alcohol. Alateen meetings are monitored and sponsored by certified Al-Anon members.
There are no fees for Al-Anon group meetings and education programs. Peer referrals for paid medical and mental health services may be provided. Most paid care providers accept major insurance plans, such as Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Humana, and others. Contact your provider to verify coverage because out of network benefits can vary.
