About Samaritan Works – Faith Filled Sober Living – Sidney
Samaritan Works—Faith-Filled Sober Living is a drug and alcohol rehab facility in Sidney, Ohio. It provides a place to live for people with substance use disorders while they reassimilate to society. The company is faith-based and follows the teachings of the Christian religion.
You cannot stay in this sober living home if you are currently on methadone or Suboxone. They do not admit people who are registered sex offenders or people with arson charges. Many of the people who stay here have been incarcerated on drug charges.
It is important to the administrators that you are honest about your circumstances when you come in. They will not admit you if you are untruthful. I really liked this element of the program as some unethical people will try to get inexpensive beds in sober living homes even though they do not have addiction issues.
They will provide you with a bed and three meals a day. They will also help you work on your resume. If you need vocational training, they can provide you with references.
You will have faith-based therapy support groups in which you will discuss how to stay sober through the teachings of Christianity. You will also have educational classes. Some of these classes will focus on drug and alcohol education, but you may also have Bible study classes.
You will have weekly meetings to gauge your progress. The staff can help you obtain housing after your time at the home is over. They will connect you to 12-step meetings and community resources as well.
