About Santa Fe Recovery Center – Santa Fe
Santa Fe Recovery Center is in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and has been treating substance use disorder and mental illness (dual diagnosis) since 2005. The center has residential treatment programs for adults 18 and over, both men and women. They allow women to bring their children (0-6 years).
This treatment facility is a nonprofit and seeks to provide care for all people struggling with addiction. They emphasize their desire to treat those from marginalized populations. The center is accredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
You can enter detox where you’ll have medical monitoring by doctors, registered nurses, and other professionals. Detox usually takes about 3-5 days. If you choose to stay for continuing treatment, you’ll receive case management too. They use evidence-based treatments that include participation in the traditional 12 Step program.
If you’re a woman and you complete the short term program and wish for a less intensive level of care with support, you can stay for up to 90 days in the therapeutic setting. The program is designed for you to have your children with you.
There’s also a men’s program that lasts up to 90 days after completion of the shorter program. These programs offer support while helping you transition back to the community. They also have recovery housing and bridge housing to help you get back to your normal life.
Some former clients of the facility were happy with their care, noting an attentive staff. Others felt the facility needed to do a better job handling the administrative side of things.
