About Serenity Lane Portland East – Portland
Serenity Lane Portland East was an outpatient alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility in Portland, Oregon. They had level I and level II intensive outpatient programs (IOPs). The facility also provided a patient monitoring program.
The program level in which clients participated depended on their needs which were determined by a free assessment. Participants in the level 1 program met for 1.5 hour sessions once each week. Counselors focused mostly on teaching clients to identify stressful life events and find healthy ways to cope.
The level II program was a 10-week intensive outpatient program that provided education about addiction as well as individual and group therapy. Clients attended sessions three days a week for three-hour sessions. Clients had the option to do their treatment in the daytime or the evening.
A family support group was also available that met once a week for three hours. These groups may have discussed issues such as how to support their loved ones in recovery and ways to cope with their loved one’s addiction.
A unique service that was provided at this facility was the Patient Monitoring Program. The facility offered monitoring services for patients who were required to do treatment due to occupational or legal circumstances. With the client’s written permission, they would correspond with the monitor to inform them of treatment compliance and treatment recommendations.
