About Sheboygan County – Health and Human Services – Sheboygan
Sheboygan County Health and Human Services is located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. They have a Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Center that provides outpatient services for residents of Sheboygan County who suffer from mental illness, substance use disorders (SUD) or negative effects of trauma.
They want to help reduce symptoms, promote recovery and give help to those in need. They have a 24 hour crisis service and involuntary commitment program that provides mobile, walk in and over-the-phone help as well as preparation and screening under Chapter 51.
They also help with individual, group, marriage, and family psychotherapy sessions. They have special services like dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), moral recognition therapy (MRT) addiction treatment and self esteem groups.
Here you’ll have a board-certified psychiatrist to give you a psychiatric assessment and medication management if needed. It should be noted they don’t provide Suboxone and methadone therapy here. They also provide consultations and education for institutions, schools and agencies to help with alcohol, drug, or mental health problems.
This facility hopes its programs and treatment services help residents become more productive within their communities and homes. They also hope to promote more community acceptance and involvement when it comes to people battling addiction or mental illness.
Some of the services they have are covered by Medicare, third-party insurance, or medical assistance. One former patient here said it’s a big and very clean building while another said, they were treated with the utmost respect, and another said they helped accomplish the task at hand.
