In Littleton, Colorado, Shiloh Home is on a mission to end childhood trauma and help Colorado families flourish. Since their doors opened in 1985, they’ve been providing residential services, parenting programs, education services and community programs.
Shiloh House serves girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 17 dealing with behavioral health challenges such as substance use, anger issues, depression, delinquency, self-harm and more.
Shiloh Home’s residential programs are in home-like settings that help youth address emotional and behavioral challenges. They focus on teaching life skills and giving them quality education. The goal of residential treatment is to help young people build healthy relationships with both their families and their communities.
Youth who come into Shiloh Home often struggle with issues like trauma, sexually reactive or abusive behavior, poor impulse control, low academic performance, maladaptive coping (including substance use) and trauma. Often there is social or family instability.
Shiloh Home has various different residential programs. One of these is an alternative to detention. Youth in this program stay for a maximum of 21 days while they go through robust assessments to understand their needs and strengths. Each youth will receive individualized recommendations. Youth in this program step down into outpatient treatment.
Another excellent program offered by Shiloh Home is their emergency shelter program. Youth get shelter for up to two weeks or longer to help them achieve stability.
Youth will receive a safe, supportive environment as they get behavioral coaching and crisis management. They may receive education assessments and mental health monitoring. Educational services during this time will also be part of their treatment.
Each client will leave with treatment recommendations.
