They are not a traditional alcohol and drug rehab center, but instead train professionals in the addiction field who want to advance their careers.

Individuals are trained through educational modules and a certificate program online. The program takes six months to complete and is only valid for individuals living in the state of California. If an individual is struggling with addiction themselves, they are encouraged to focus on their own treatment and recovery first. Treatment at an alcohol or drug rehab center may be necessary.

Sober College does not take insurance because they are an educational institution. If a person is interested in using their insurance to receive any type of treatment to benefit them on their own healing journey, they are encouraged to contact their insurance carrier prior to starting treatment because out-of-network benefits may vary.
