Located in Tacoma, Washington, Social Treatment Opportunity Programs (STOP) provides alcohol and drug rehab services to men and women throughout the county. They offer intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment.
Social Treatment Opportunity Programs- STOP provides comprehensive, person-centered treatment. Services include:
Intensive Outpatient
Individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy are provided. Time is spent focusing on stress reduction, healthy living, positive decision making, social planning, anger management, and any additional care such as domestic violence or trauma. This program requires 72 hours total of treatment over a span of 12 weeks. Participants meet three times a week for 3 hours at a time.
Outpatient
Individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy are provided. Clients may choose to participate in self-help groups such as SMART Recovery or the 12 Steps. Individuals seeking to avoid prosecution may participate in the deferred prosecution program. Misdemeanor charges that arose out of mental health or addiction issues may be dropped or reduced iif a person is willing to receive the appropriate level of care.
