About South East Texas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse – Right Choice

You can visit the Recovery Council of Southeast Texas in the Texas city of Beaumont. They’ve been around since 1958 hoping to display conviction and make an impact on people struggling with addiction and mental illness.

It’s a non profit organization that states they’re in the business of saving lives by using a holistic approach to solving some of the biggest challenges in life.

They have a male inpatient residential treatment facility called Unity. It’s a dormitory-styled facility to help men battling drug and alcohol addiction. It’s an intensive treatment program that according to their website is the gold standard of programming in Southeast Texas.

They also have a support program where after you finish the intensive program you can leave the facility for work or some type of schooling and return on nights and weekends.

Their Right Choice Outpatient Services program is for adults and specific females, adolescents and veterans. They do drug screening and testing and you’ll have up to nine hours per week of individual and or group education and counseling and support sessions.

You can also get help with relapse prevention, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and tobacco cessation.
They do virtual therapy over Zoom calls as well as in person at their outpatient clinic.

The adolescent program includes a unique treatment program called Cannabis Youth Treatment (CYT). The material draws on motivational enhancement therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT. Sessions in CYT last for five to 12 weeks and meet one or two times per week.

Their Recovery Support Services program is highly intensive and it’s designed to help people with barriers to treatment. They help out with transportation, housing and medical needs in support of your recovery. It’s a long term program that has shown success and it’s available to people who are undergoing medication assisted treatment MAT or about to start it.

They also provide special education classes and you need to inquire within about those.
