This facility in Randolph offers outpatient addiction treatment and community services. You’ll also find assertive community treatment, psychiatric evaluation, and veterans services at this location. Spurwink is a certified community behavioral health clinic. This means that specific issues are addressed when you enroll in a program including homelessness, asylum seekers, and trauma. They provide interdisciplinary community-based outpatient psychiatric treatment. The goal for psychiatric treatment includes medication management, therapy, and nursing support. While participating in group and individual therapy, clinicians will lead you through cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.

Spurwink is a leader in giving hope, healing, and recovery to the veteran population. Community-based mental health care will connect you with a Veterans Outreach Specialist. Services include suicide prevention support, needs-based assessments, job referrals, and transportation arrangements. Spurwink will help you obtain VA benefits, education benefits, retirement compensation, and military records.

Case managers work with families and individuals to create personalized plans to help them achieve self-sufficiency. Goals are adapted to each family’s culture, resources, and needs. A family treatment model like functional family therapy may be enacted to help with recovery and sobriety. Decisions, solutions, and problem solving are achieved through collaboration.

It’s important to note that Spurwink has several residential and sober living facilities in Maine that you can be connected to, should you need more intensive care.

Levels of Care

Outpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
