About St. Christopher’s Inn – Garrison
St. Christopher’s Inn is a Christ centered alcohol and drug addiction treatment center for adult men, located in Garrison, New York. Their programs include detoxification, medication assisted treatment, residential and outpatient treatment, transitional housing, and aftercare support, including specialized services for clients with co-occurring conditions. Telehealth appointments are available.
Their detox helps individuals with severe addiction comfortably detoxify and remove the substances from their bodies while prioritizing safety and comfort. You’ll be medically supervised and may receive medication to support the process.
If you have more extensive pharmacotherapy needs can participate in the facility’s MAT services. This rehab program allows clients to safely detox from alcohol, opioids, and other substances with the support of FDA-approved addiction medications, including Suboxone, Revia and Vivitrol, that help alleviate physical symptoms, curb cravings, and minimize the risk of relapse. It also includes counseling, support groups, and medication management in an outpatient setting. As clients progress and stabilize, in person office appointments tend to become less frequent. This is appropriate for alcohol and opioid addictions and is considered the gold standard of addiction treatment for opioid use disorder.
They offer a residential addiction treatment program for adults, under their program Residential Redesign. The integrated program operates 24/7 and provides only term treatment through a person centered approach. You’ll receive room and board for as long as six months. Other services include counseling, work, spiritual guidance, medication management, recovery and health related education, peer support groups, outdoor and recreational activities, and other recovery support activities.
Their outpatient service is called the Day Rehabilitation program and meets seven days a week. Treatment in the day program can last 75 to 90 days and may include individual and group counseling, medication management, peer support groups, outdoor and recreational activities, grief and loss groups, mental health support, art therapy, choir, nature walks, physical activity, and family support groups.
They provide transitional housing for individuals leaving residential treatment. These shelters provide a supportive, yet structured, recovery home environment as a stop gap before reentering the community. Sober homes usually have sobriety requirements, hold recovery meetings, and expect participants to engage in educational or workplace activities.
St. Christopher’s Inn accepts NYS Medicaid, self pay, and commercial insurance. Sliding scale and limited scholarship options are also available. Ask your provider to verify your coverage because out of network benefits could vary.
