About St. Francis Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center – Grand Island
St. Francis Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center, also known as ADTC, is located in Grand Island, Nebraska. This center provides a continuum of services including residential and outpatient care for those who are struggling with drug and alcohol dependence. Operating under a greater CHI Health medical network, they offer supportive treatment that’s rooted in evidence based practices and social support. Throughout the course of your treatment, you’ll learn essential skills that will guide you in recovery to establish a sober lifestyle. They accept most commercial insurance policies including TRICARE East.
Along with supporting those recovering from substance use, it’s equally important to focus on family members and the way they can help their loved ones. I appreciate that this center provides a variety of family services that will keep your loved ones engaged and informed about the best ways they can help you through recovery.
Although this is a larger scale medical facility, I find that the program here is not as clinical as you might expect. If you’re receiving residential detox services, these are more clinical. You’ll have around the clock supervision as your body safely detoxes from its chemical dependency. Other than this medical support, you’ll find that the care here is more person focused than clinically intent.
That’s not to say you won’t be supported by medical interventions or medical support if you need it. It’s easy to get connected to medical services, as you’re already a part of the Saint Francis network while in treatment here.
There’s a strong focus on incorporating the 12 Steps, and I find there’s a lot of value in doing that. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with a community of peers who understand the unique struggles you’re facing. Through this community, you won’t feel alone or isolated as you begin to rebuild your life.
