Sweetser – Community Based Services is an addiction treatment center in Lewiston, Maine. They offer both inpatient and outpatient services to their clients, but they don’t end their services there. They also offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) to help you alleviate withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings if you are experiencing addiction to opioids or alcohol.

Their outpatient program is their most flexible offering, giving you the option of participating in individual therapy and group therapy sessions while you’re still able to return home each day. They also have walk-in services if you need immediate care without the need to set up an appointment. They do this on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Their community-based services provide home-based case management and child assertive community treatment to help children and families in their most natural environment. Their crisis services offer crisis stabilization and mobile crisis interventions to help you if you’re going through something that’s more acute. This clinic also offers dual diagnosis treatment if you’re experiencing both addiction and mental health issues.

Sweetser offers residential treatment and day treatment options as well. They also offer special-purpose private school services for children and teens who have significant behavioral health needs.

I also noticed that they have a New England Eating Disorders program that specializes in helping people who are dealing with eating disorders. They combine therapeutic interventions with nutritional guides to help you recover from that. You can also access peer support and training networks that are available to help with recovery.
